What Are Medical-Grade Facial Treatments?

Medical-grade facial treatments, also known as medi-facials, are treatments that are designed to treat particular skin conditions and are safe for all skin types. Māyura medi-facials are tailored to restore and repair the skin, leaving your face feeling hydrated and glowing.

How Do Medical-Grade Facials Work?

Māyura medi-facials are clinically proven medical-grade treatments. They target skin problems by using Alphahyrdoxy and Betahydroxy acids and Vitamin A, and are purposefully designed to be less invasive than peels and also, to have less downtime.

Can A Medi-facial Help With Acne?

At Māyura Medispa, all of our treatments are tailored to suit patients’ individual needs, the treatments that we provide for acne will aim to clear and clean out any acne lesions. At your consultation with our dermal therapist we will discuss and formulate a skin care regime to proceed with at home to help soothe and treat any inflammation.


Meet the Experts

Dr Rohit Kumar

Dr Rohit Kumar is an Australian trained and fully certified cosmetic plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

Dr Kumar completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1995 at the University of Queensland. He subsequently went on to successfully complete a Masters Degree in the field of Burns Surgery in 2004 – MMedSci (Burns)

His advanced surgical training commenced in the specialty of General Surgery in which he trained for four years. This gave him a solid foundation of technical knowledge and surgical perspective upon which he then built his considerable skills, once he commenced his advanced training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The Australasian training scheme in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is one of the most thorough and rigorous in the world and upon successful completion of this training, over a period of ten years, Dr Kumar was awarded his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – FRACS (Plas).

He thus brings over 15 years of surgical experience to his practice having been involved in over ten thousand procedures in that time.

How Do I Begin?

At Māyura Medispa, before we begin any type of treatment on our patients, we will need to organise a consultation for you with our dermal therapist. Our dermal therapist will assess your skin and discuss with you the treatment that you are interested in. Any other treatments that will ensure the best overall results will also be discussed with you prior to proceeding with your tailored procedure.
