These red blotchy areas of the skin are caused by damage to a group of blood vessels under the skin’s surface. There are many possible causes for your facial redness, broken capillaries and rosacea such as environmental causes like prolonged periods of sun exposure without sun protection. These conditions may also be caused by things such as hormones, ageing, high blood pressure or it could also be hereditary.

What Are the Symptoms and Signs of Rosacea and Broken Vessels?

All of these conditions that cause facial redness are unwanted for most sufferers. Broken capillaries will appear as a red or blue cluster of tiny lines which are the actual capillaries. Rosacea will occur on the skin as a general redness across the nose, cheeks and forehead.
